As a technique, crimping can produce long-lasting joints, efficiently and easily with very little training. Nowadays, Crimping has taken the place of soldering in many electrical applications and now is the most extensively used way for connections. When crimped properly, the strands remain individual even upon entering the insulation crimp, making the chances of strands breaking low, which ensure mechanically stability and corrosion-resistance.
